President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the Strategic Crypto Reserve:
⚫ Strategic Bitcoin Reserve will consist of Bitcoin forfeited in criminal or civil cases.
⚫ Bitcoin will be held as a reserve asset and not sold.
⚫ Treasury and Commerce may explore budget-neutral Bitcoin acquisitions.
⚫ U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile will hold other forfeited digital assets.
⚫ Government won’t buy additional assets for the stockpile.
⚫ Agencies must provide full digital asset accounting to Treasury.

Additionally, a full audit has been ordered for the estimated 200,000 BTC under government control.
